Insulating Incubator?

Incubator wants to live in 60 - 70F. My room is 52F. RH75% Period. So, I need to insulate the actual 'bator. K?

Now, I have a 'fish tank'. Bator, bulb and Thermostat can go in there, set to 65F? Kingspan insulate the lot. (Hole, in top. To view the controls)

*Will That Work DRY?* Glyn? Anyone else got thoughts, please?

Thanks :)

I wouldn't be too worried about it, that is around the same temperature as the unheated wooden cabin where I do my incubation, it actually gets lower on a frosty night. The incubator is 15yrs old and banished from the house because of the racket it makes. When I turn it on it always gives an e18 error for low temperature, but incubates fine, giving 90% hatch rate.

If you want to help, I would forget the bulb and thermostat. Stand the incubator on a piece of Kingsland and build a Kingsland box, with a couple of holes for ventilation to go over it. The heat coming from the box should be enough to warm it up.

Are you hatching anything interesting?

" The heat coming from the box should be enough to warm it up. "

!!! Day'ummm !!! Never saw That one coming! LOL!

Err ... I'll go and Detach all that wi fi connected thermostat and heat lamp I've spent the afternoon on, so? LMAO!

I've been desperately trying to run this past someone, Glyn. Nearest person I know, who knows 'bators? Left for a week, day or two ago! Look what happens, when I get left to my own devices! :D

Hatching? Hopefully, some of my little Modern Game bantams. They, in themselves, make it a bit 'different', apparently. Day here? Degree there?
