Discuss all aspects of raising poultry. No topic is too small
Which " Weed Killer " ?
Yes. I use the term as loosely as, frankly? They Don't, do they?
Anyway; Around ye chickens? What's the one, please? Need it for under my fences. Creeping Buttercup, particularly. Bit of something, broad leafed looking there too.
Thanks.

Sunday, September 15th, 2024 If you use electric poultry netting it's a good idea to get a roll of damp proof about 18" wide and stick the posts into it. It stops the weeds coming up. You can then mow up to the edge.

Wednesday, September 18th, 2024 Did that, JL. Was out there, today, raking off yesterdays once over with the new strimmer. I do my best, around the fence. But, it's not easy. Down right not conducive to the mower, either.
No. Weed killed (RoundUp) the perimeter. Weed membraned it. Road grit, over the membrane. Looks nice! :)
My snag is the one side where it's closer to a barrier. Harder to get this strimmer in there and keep the tight control needed. It gets away with it a bit. Easier, by far, just to run a drop of agent orange along that line.
Obviously, I've Already used RU. My chickens are still out there. But: Ye only supposed to use that stuff in rotation with something else.
'*What* else?' is foxing me. Looks of it? Foxed most of us :|
