I tried a spot with the terrier last winter. Field of beet. There was a couple of dead ones lying about the place. Terrier was very keen. Was digging like Mad around the holes. Strange thing is, every hole seemed to be empty, when I dug them out, with just an empty nest at the end.

They move about the holes stick a smoker to the holes and youll get results.

Block all the holes you can find, can slip out easily without being noticed, especially when there's cover about. Sometimes dog's just marking wrong cos the scents strong from the hole.
