2022 hatching

How is every ones year going I've had a poor start had 30 goose eggs due date this weekend and broke the lot this morning and nothing in any of them,
I've had a poor start with chickens as well alot of infertile eggs and hens reluctant to sit.I think that frost we had could have killed the eggs.

A friend of mine told me he set 49 eggs lately and when he candelled them they were all blank. Although it's April I still think it's too cold.

Ah it's getting late for hatching chickens really, chickens should be out before Easter Sunday cold or not.

And potatoes were meant to be sown by Paddy's Day but that doesn't work now either. Our seasons are changing.

The rule of thumb for planting potatoes has always been plant away while you can still see through an ash tree,I dont no where that myth about paddy's day came from because even if the potatoes do miss the frost windy wheather is nearly guaranteed in may so if you do have good stalks up the wind will cause havoc, lay ground shouldn't be planted till mid to late April and moor ground mid to late may, look at what commercial growers do.

Great fertility this year so far hatch rates very good bad weather for cocci tho so eyes on the poo

What sort of weather increases coccidosis levels, didn't think the weather had anything to do with it, more so conditions chicks are kept in, overcrowded, wet damp bedding etc.
Please enlighten me?
