How long should egg sit and settle after a car ride before setting them for incubation?
Hi all,
Wondering if anyone can give some advice on the stated question? I think have read somewhere before that after shipping hatching eggs they should settle for about 24 hours before setting for incubation.
I am getting some hatching eggs today that will only have been riding in a car for about an hour to two hours. Also, they are going to be packaged so as to prevent vibration. Do you all think that these eggs need to settle very long before incubation? I was hoping to start them tonight.
Thanks
Carter

Wednesday, April 6th, 2022 I would let them settle for at least 12 hours, depending on how fresh the eggs are.
24 if possible.
