Saturday, April 2nd, 2022 No but you add them to it by contacting the poultry section or what what ever it is called. So your herd number becomes your flock number as well.
For example my flock number was originally for poultry but now its for sheep as well so I can fatten a few lambs for the freezer from time to time.
There is a thing called a full herd number which is when you add all the species to your herd number....ie poultry sheep goats pigs cattle...etc. Sort of a one for all kind of thing. Well this used to be the case.

Tuesday, April 5th, 2022 Thank you roostercroweburn. We have just applied for the full herd number that you mentioned because we want to get some cattle. I seem to remember that it mentioned poultry too but wasn't sure.

Wednesday, April 6th, 2022 We are in the process of putting in the crush now. It always seems a bit odd to me that all this has to be done first without any guarantee that one will be granted the herd number at all. Will look up the you tube video for more info. Thanks again.
