Hi all,
My dad is looking for some Basswood as it is good for beginner carving. I was wondering if anyone knows where it could be found. Or even if it is available in Ireland.

They sell basswood here and it is good quality wood. You can get them in blocks or circles.

My dad would be looking more for planks of the wood that he can cut as he likes and that is probably a little cheaper.

your problem is its not native to Ireland so its all imported, you wont find it much cheaper despite it being a cheap wood in the US
