Gas Brooder

I have 36 hatching eggs going into the incubator within the next few days. Can anyone tell me about gas brooders/heat lamps etc.

I am off grid, running on a generator & do not have the option to use an electric heat lamp 24hrs as I did in the past. Generator is only on till around midnight.

Does the heat lamp have to be on all during the night as in 24hrs per day?

Thanks

Thanks guys, thought as much but was just making sure.. Has anyone any experience using the gas brooders/heat lamps. Are they ok to use on a small scale as anything i've read is for commercial use.
