Pol laying pullet weak on leg?
Have a bcm pullet with sore leg this morning. Moved her to crate and through out the day got more power back in it. Didn’t eat or drink all day. And found a shell less egg in with her this evening. She’s weakly walking now but squatting down sorta like she forcing.
Any suggestions wats wrong with her or any remedies? 👍🏻

Monday, March 1st, 2021 The squatting usually means she's trying to lay another egg. The soft shelled ones are harder to lay than the normal ones. Has she just started laying? Double yolked ones are also common in young pullets. If she has hurt her leg it will usually feel hot to the touch or look swollen. Does she run with a cock maybe he hurt her. How is she today?

Monday, March 1st, 2021 she could be eggbound. Does she have calcium access?

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2021 There are a number of recent posts describing chickens with leg issues. I have this problem with a chicken of similar age at the moment. Apparently it's Vitamin B2 deficiency. Curled up feet/foot is a sure sign.
The poultry grower that I was feeding my chicks doesn't contain any B vitamins. Can you check yours as I'm curious to see if this is a possible factor?

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2021 Seeing as we seem to be talking to ourselves! What you said is interesting Adrian R. It would be good know how your pullet gets on. Don't have any growers at the moment but checked the organic layers label yesterday. It has vitamins A D3 and E.
