roost size for buff orpingtons
Hi all. How high and how wide should my roosts be for my buff orpingtons? They don't seem to roost at night with what I have set up. Any suggestions?

Tuesday, February 16th, 2021 I think I read somewhere that Buff Orpingtons can be a little scared of height. At least at certain ages maybe. The BO I have don't all want to roost at night it seems. Some of them do but not all. I have a roost for them that is probably close to 3 feet off the ground.

Tuesday, February 16th, 2021 thanks everyone. I put two roosts up at about 1/2 foot and they seem to use it more. I read that they can get up on higher roosts but the problem is getting down-they're a bit too heavy to be landing hard on their legs. I may try the ladder idea if they dont seem happy enough.
