Egg Air Sacks

I sell hatching eggs and I want to make sure that they have as good a chance of hatching as possible. So I usually check them to make sure I can see their air sack and I place that end of the egg up. But often when the eggs are freshly laid I can't find the egg sack. So I leave the eggs pointy side down and a couple hours later I can see the eggs sack right there on the fatter end of the egg. Is this because it is detached or does it have something to do with it being freshly laid?

The air sac develops. The older the egg, the larger the sac.

That's a relief I thought those eggs in which I couldn't see an air sack right away might be junk.
