Did every one hear about the recent regulations since Monday all poultry must be housed no freeranging.

Answer:

ē No. The vaccination of poultry and captive birds against avian influenza is not currently permitted.

ē An exception for vaccination of zoo birds is permitted in the EU, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.

Does anybody know if there will be an official update be send out once its good to let them out again? I know they will review again after 30 days from the initial note but not sure how they will communicate or if its just fine to proceed as normal if no further housing requirements are advised then

No change in regulations, several cases up north (where the majority of our comercial flocks are) - 80,000 bird culled in Antrim and 31,000 culled in Lisburn a week or ten days ago now after positive tests

That's a horrible amount of birds to have to cull. Do you know when the regulations will be reviewed again?

No I dont but over 110,000 birds have been culled in N.I.
