Clipping hens wings

Hi all, a little advice please. Recently got some chicks and they are a lot more flighty that I thought they would be, Iím concerned that as they get older they will be able to fly out of their enclosure and some people had mentioned to me about clipping their wings but I wasnít sure if people actually do this? Sorry itís probably a very basic question but we are only starting out and definitely donít want to do anything wrong or hurt any of the birds.

Yes, people do. Put this into your favourite search engine:

Initially I didn't think I'd do it, but when chickens fly over a 1m electric fence and end up trapped on the outside vunerable to a passing fox it's a better idea than leaving things to luck. It won't hurt or harm the birds.
