It will probably be 5 or 6 years or they might never open again the government dont want people mixing or interacting with one another.

The sooner the better I think, easy to keep 2 meters social distance in the outdoors. And paddy can always bring your sheep dip ye?

Social distancing is one thing most people have always applied this but what about the travel restrictions bleach is also effective against diseases might be no harm giving it a wash every once in a while you never be to carful in these times.

I only go to Athenry sale, you don't need any social distancing it is already there, not many buyers and lookers

Would,nt be a huge loss if they never resumed, mostly disease ridden birds for sale in the main. I certainly have,nt missed them anyway.

Think portlaoise is every second Sunday, it's a pretty good sale so hopefully back Sunday 14th. Maybe someone here could confirm? Lots of people needing new stock and sales are the job for it.
Mr fox did lots of damage this year, me included with my beautiful silkies. So I say forget the begrudgers and bring back social distancing sales.
Bit of chat to be had also face to face not like here, real conversation is best.

Just shows the mentality of some people Paddy.
Only concerned with themselves and what they need.
One of the worst pandemics in history and all they want is poultry sales back on, crazy shit!

Good to hear we're getting back to normal and still have our freedom to move about. Hopefully the ridiculousness of it all will be copped on to soon. If markets are back, same can be applied to everything else. I agree real conversation is best, good for some to learn social skills too. Now all we need is antibodies if they can't get vaccine, sales can help with that too. Fresh air and antibodies, bring it on.

What about the bird flu hows that all fairing out doesn't seem to be much about it but its the single biggest risk to poultry keeping at the minute.

I hear that roscommon sale is on on sunday !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, i wonder how long it will take before the guards turn up and shut it down ?
There is still a 5km restriction in force ,Its not a recognised sale and its held on council property
the council will stop it for good very short sighted of those attending

That's what I was thinking my self it would be classed as an illegal gathering but then if theres no organisers then no one can be prosecuted I'd say any sales organised on a private premises will probably face prosecution or large fines.

Didn't hear of any cases of bird flu in the republic but I could be wrong.
Every one is entitled to an opinion without grumpy old f...ers getting on their high horse. This cocooning although necessary for our older weaker at risk population can also be very detrimental to ones sanity, as we can see by some comments here.
Normality is what we crave now, the sooner the better.

Bring back freedom :)
I'll admit, I feel socially numb.
I don't want to become socially inept if I don't keep my interpersonal skills going ;)
Who knows we may all become so emotionally detached, we'll be classified as robots instead of warm blooded humans lol
