Hatching problem

Hi, I've been hatching chicks, guineas and ducklings in my brinsea 20 octagon incubator for around 3 years and it was very successful in the first 2 years. Then at the end of last year and this year too my rates have dropped dramatically. Even though all the eggs have chicks in them, they seem to die a few days before hatching. Sad to see. And everytime about 15% of the eggs hatch perfectly

I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and were able to fix it. Is it time for a new incubator?

Buy a hygrometer and search in youtube: how to calibrate hygrometer with salt
Also get a good thermometer.
Then you don't need to buy an incubator

Hi ,im just wondering is the overall condition of your octagon good?Have you any cracks or damage on it?Also how much do you open the vent for first 18 days and then for lock down on this model?I have used octagons for around 30 years and find them to be a good reliable hatcher.
