How long does it take a bronze turkey to mature to killing stage thanks

Hi.
Depends if it’s traditional bronze or commercial bronze. Traditional bronze are slow growing and take up to 34 weeks to be ready for the table. Females are meant to take 24 weeks but in reality about 30 weeks as well. The commercial turkeys are the exact same as the white turkeys only with the bronze feather colouring and can be ready depending on strain in as little as sixteen weeks for the smaller strains ( under 12lbs )and 24 weeks for the larger strains(over 12lbs).This is what you can expect if they are fed properly with starter,grower and finisher turkey feed. Addition of grains slows them a bit, the traditionals will lay down nice white fat if fed a proportion of wheat in their diet.Only real difference is the flavour, traditional bronze done properly is superior. Traditionals need to be hatched in April and May to be ready for Christmas. Good luck
