lost feather on neck

I've a few hens have lost most the feathers on their necks

maybe 3 or 4 from a batch of 16. They have been well done for lice and mites and I've moved them to a new house and run.

they are eating ,drinking and laying . they don't seem sick in anyway just look terrible

hasn't been a rooster with them in about 2 weeks

any ideas ?

You might have a feather pecker.
How much space do they have?
As overcrowding/stress can cause this.
Nettex do a spray to dicourage birds from doin this.
Meantime make sure they have sufficient room so they are,nt crowded both in their coop or run, providing distractions such as dust baths, hanging cabbages etc might help too.

ok , they have a lot of space to keep away from one another but I can take out the effected ones put them in a separate run to see if it improves.

Would there necks be red and sore looking if were being pecked?
Because the skin looks normal white, never blood or scabs or red looking

I think this is called a neck moult. Did it coinside with the move to the new house?

If there are no new pin feathers coming through, then they are being plucked an its not a moult
