Bronze Turkey Hen

Howdy, We have a bronze Turkey Hen here, hatched spring 17. She laid very well last year and brought out a good clutch.
She's back laying this year again but a bit sporadic and the eggs are very pale coloured (no brown speckling) and I don't think the shells are as robust as last year.
She's out full time and fed the same this year as last. She has access to oyster shell and layers pellets ad lib.

Any ideas?

Is she actually eating the oyster grit? Sometimes some birds just don't like it. Perhaps try offering her crushed egg shells and see if she goes for them. If she does.. that will possibly help.

I don't know that. We leave several containers about with grit in them. It would be difficult for us to be sure she's taking it on board.

We've since researched this and possibly a Vit D and Niacin deficiency.
Her shells are definitely softer than last year. Not suitable for going under a hen.

Thanks for your help.
