Opinions

In yere opinions are you more likely to have a fox or mink attacking fowl if you keep a mixed flock as opposed to just hens.IE if you have ducks and geese in with the hens are they more likely to become a target with the extra noise from ducks and geese and the different smells.also the fact that you have to chase them in at night unlike the hens who go to roost are they more likely to draw in the Fox.what do ye reckon

In my opinion, I dont think it makes any difference.
A hungry Fox will take what ever they comes across or what ever is easiest for them. could be very wrong though!

Doesn't make any real odds how ever ducks have a habit of rambling well away from the yard especially this time of year as the weather warms up and snail and slugs become abundant and of course this coincides with vixens rearing cubs.

Youre probably right Richy if a fox spots a chance he will take it.
