Poultry newbie

Hi guys, so Iím very new to chickens and have seen there is a big difference in same breed chickens. Could you please like me know what your top egg laying chicken breed are and the sort or price you pay for them. Thank you

If you just want eggs go with the normal hybrid red hens they are bred to be egg laying machines.you should be able to buy them around 9 Euro at point of lay.some crowds deliver them to marts etc.give them layers pellets and household scraps and grit

I'd go for purebreds. They live alot longer and lay well enough. RIR Sussex Wyandotte Welsummer Faverolles I've found to lay best 15to20 quid for pullets
