Brinsea ovation 28 ex

Hi guys..
I bought brinsea ovation 28 ex 2months before...just using it for 2nd hatch. There r dozen of imported eggs at last day of hatching...today i realize that incubator is full of water...both resevoir are over flowing and humidity dont reach to its setpoint 70%...i opened and take all the water out pulled the little pipe from water glass going in.leaving the eggs inside with manual humdity by filling small water....anyone ever have this expirence ? Is that meaning humidity pump is gone? That incubator is in wRranty...any quick suggestion guys?

Contact who you bought it from to run through a few points.
Is vent closed ?
Is room too cool?
Are you using evaporation pads ?
Probably something very simple rather than a mechanical problem.

Yes ring the supplier in dingle co kerry tomorow.room s warm..evaporation pad on...sunk in water....that never reach to 70% humidity motor pulling water all the time.

I had this problem with a new Ovation 56Ex.
The cause was a humidity pad that was too small.
hope this helps.

I agree with you i have a problem with a new incubator i just bought 3 month ago , and having a problem with it and theyre tryin to make me use less humidity because the incubator is not reaching the level it should be at. I had prevousliy been using king suro and a chinese 1 and they where perfect no problems at all i taught i was upgrading by buying a new brinsea and spending around Ä300 on it very disapointed. ,theyre asking me to put tape around the incubator rather than fixing the problem... ...they r trying to find the problem with user...v dissappointed ...will never spend another penny on brinsea..faulty incubator

Unless the chicks are hatching, you don't need 70% of humidity.
So the next text from you will read that all chicks died in the egg and blame the vendor...

My incubator has a funny issue, depending on what position the eggs are in the incubator they don't start to develop at all,if there placed nearest the walls on each end I get a 💯 percent hatch rate but any where else in incubator no development. No problems with eggs as I have broodys sitting on eggs and usually 100percent hatch rate. We sent it back to Brinsea and like that blamed the user not the machine, not humid enough was what we were told, actually did a dry hatch the other month(as recommended by a fellow breeder)got exactly the same hatch rate as usual so I'm stumped, going to buy another brand in another week or so,see how that goes!

Unless Brinsea have outsourced manufacturing in the last ten years then i have no idea whats going on.
I bought a Brinsea Octagon ten years ago and have used it every year since and (touch wood) have never had a single issue with it.
Maybe as Marc suggested humidity is too high overall.

I have found over the years the location of the incubator is the key and once eggs are set and the temp is steady then leave them alone, meddling and farting about candling is the one main thing that will interfere with hatching success.

Stop turning on day 18,fill channels with water and leave it shut until all chicks are hatched.

The other way to do it is leave until day 18,candle,see what viable and then bung them under a broody or two and let them finish the job. Have done that twice this year with great results.
Good luck.

Marc R....my incubator was in last three days of hatching i always keep 70% humidity in tht stage...and have the best hatching rate...but brinsea ovation was not going over 45% humidity...and motor keep pulling the water and there was a flood in incubator...i know how to hatch ...what kind of location temprature it needs...i m not looking for advice how to hatch..just asking if anyone else have this expirnce before...i know there is fault with machine...and i m in touch with brinsea..

Can you give me a call regarding this please as Brinsea have copied me in on correspondence you have had with them.
John Tait the export manager sent an email to you regarding this issue you are having and requested the machine back on 22nd June so they can test it and repair it if need be under warranty of course and at no expense to you.
I would like to be sure you are getting the emails & that the issue is resolved a soon as possible.

The office number is 0669150615 if you have lost it. Itís on our website and on your receipt. My mobile number is 0872077019.
I am always happy to discuss issues and resolve problems. You have spoken with me regarding this issue Yvonne at Brinsea and with Kirstie at Brinsea.
John Tait the export manager was eager to get the machine back for testing to resolve any problem.
As I said in a previous posting they requested the machine back on 22nd June so they can check it out and if there is an issue repair or replace the unit at no cost to you.
You can if you prefer send the machine back to us or drop down with it and we can test it here. The sooner you get it returned the sooner we can get it back to you.

I am here in the office all day like most days and here this morning since 7am so please give me a call if you want to discuss this with me rather than keep posting on the forum.
You are contradicting yourself on each posting. You keep saying you have no number then you have spoken with us then you cant get a reply.
We have spoken about this and you have spoken with Brinsea and they are happy to look at the machine and repair or replace if there is an issue.
Warranty policy with all goods is you must return them for them to be checked and repaired or replaced.
You would have had your machine back a week ago if you had sent it on.
All we want is for our customers to be happy with the goods they purchase.

There is no contradiction in my posts... thats a lack of communication between u and maceoin and brinsea...or maybe ur pretending u dont know maceoin took my no and said brinsea dealer in ireland will contact me soon.but u never did ...then i rang maceoin back few time ..and they never answered my call...i have all record of calls in my mobile...whem i found no1 to contact...i go to brinsea directly...u start communicating in my post so i replied u here...i m going to ring u now..
