Hey guys,

I have a first time broody hen whose eggs will hatch soon, I don't plan on separating her completely from the flock, but I'm just wondering if anyone actually uses specific chick feed with a mother hen as well, or should I just let them do their thing eating layers pellets?

Thanks guys!

Broody an chicks really need to be kept separate if chicks are to thrive well on their food, there is too much calcium in adult food for chicks, an it can damage their liver an kidneys.
chick crumb for up to 8 weeks
growers pellets from 8 weeks till lay.
