White peafowl pair

Hi lads. Bit of a long one so bare with me. Thinking of buying a pair of white peafowl. If I pen them with their own shed and a run about 40ft by 30ft with a 5ft chain link fence will they be able to jump it if I keep their wings clipped?

If I get eggs or chicks next year what can I hope to get for eggs or rared chicks?

Do they prefer to lay on the ground or up a bit?

Should I feed them a mix of game feed and layers pellets?

What would they like in their run to keep them happy? Like a perch a few feet off the ground and a sand bath?

I kept fowl years ago but only getting back into a handful. Thanks and sorry for all the questions. 😂

Whats the point in keeping peafowl if you are going to clip their wings. They need wing feathers as part of their display dance. Peahens dont lay until 2 years of age and most males are fertile with full train at 3 years of age. Eggs are usually on the ground but if free range you can get them on shed roofs to bales of hay etc depends on your set up. A 5 foot fence wont keep out foxes who will kill them especially with clipped wings.
