I move our broodys into a large dog house, then check on them in about an hour to two to ensure she’s still sitting on the eggs. It’s best if you do it close to night, helps them settle better. I then but food and water in there for her. For the ducks: when they all hatch I I keep them in there for a day or so then let the mom and duckling loose in the yard somewhat supervised to make sure Mom doesn’t lose any ducklings. I then round them up before evening into the same dog house. I generally move mom and ducklings back into main pen fairly soon, just watching to see if any other ducks treat them poorly. Hope that helps.
