Smoking out coop

I have a big hen house.
Does lighting a fire in it with plenty of smoke get rid of mites?

No, best option is to get liquid smite (stuff u add water to) put in a hand held pump sprayer, turn nozzle to "jet", an blast into every nook/cranny/join/crack, wait half an hour, an see where the mites are coming out from, then blast again, leave overnight (no birds in) an rinse out the house with very strong bleach, do this weekly for one month, to stop breeding cycle, then wen house is dry, fill in every crack/join etc with silacon.
repeat smite treatment every couple of months, u will never fully get rid, but u can keep them under control.

Smoke wonít do anything for mites. You can get treated chemical smoke bombs but best option is a good clean out and treat with Smite like Pearl says.
