Chick Health

Hi,

I've chickens hatching at the weekend. Is there anything that's recommended for them in the way of medication, tonics, etc? I can't seem to get an answer so I'm hoping someone here may know.

Thanks!

unless they become sick, they are best left alone, u can put a little apple cider vinegar in their water, for the first few day (no more than a week), but other than being draught free , have good chick crumb an fresh water, an heat, they should be fine.
i would have some "harkers coxoid" in hand, just in case, but dont give unless needed, an dont give at the same time as acv.

Are they under a hen or is it incubator.if itís hen just put down crumb for them and water and leave old Henny Penny to mind them. If itís incub crumb and water and heat lamp but not too hot or cold and keep eye on them for first few days.make sure temp is right and they are thriving with food and water.other than that no minding unless they are sick.richard hicks never dosed a bird in his life and heís top of his game in the fowl keeping

Thanks a million. They're under a hen and are doing really well so far. Thanks again for all your advice.
