Will a young goose sit??

I have a year old goose (brecon buff) that has nine eggs in her nest now. She seems like she will sit as she is very vocal with the gander but i'm still not sure as she hasn't feathered the nest. How big can a cluch of eggs get before a goose will sit?(my last goose always only sat on 7 or 8)
The gander also sits on the eggs briefly every time she lays an egg, is that normal? Any advice is appreciated.

David, firstly I need Brecon buff for a few years and they can sit on up to 12 in a best. The only thing is with first year buffs is they can be clumsy so a smaller amount of eggs would be better about 8. She night never sit and may keep laying watch out for the feathering of the best it's a sure sign she is going to go down. About the gander I would be weary as the nest gets more eggs it's more of a risk of him breaking them. I would seperate the gander once you know she is feathering the nest.
