Pig farming

If you were to rear pigs is the any where that would buy what you have when ready , or would you have to find sale privately

As far as i know, and i have never kept pigs, you will have to have the pigs registered with the Department of Agriculture. Which means you would have to have a Department number. This would mean you could cull them yourself. Which is why you would have decided to keep the pigs in the first place?

You need to register with department of agriculture to rear a pig at home.. restricted to 5 fat tents at any one time. Must get different herd number for breeding sow and cannot sell meat unless registered with bird bia.. also must be slaughtered by registered slaughter house and vet checked at slaughter by dept vet..
