Top Netting

Hello Folks,

Looking to top net a section of the poultry pen. Has anybody used this stuff used for protecting silage bales? Duranets Protective Netting....if so how did you find it. Many thanks as usual. Rj.

Hi, got some top netting from MacEoin's last year. Found it very easy to put up and good quality too. Look at the Irish Fowl Shop on this page.

i just use strawberry netting, the stuff with the small square hole,
i have had some on my 40ft long x 12ft run, an only now after 8 years, it is starting to tear.

I agree with Pearl I've the same netting over my breeding runs and it's brilliant. Even in the storms it held up brilliant

Thanks Flood and Pearl, i will see what sizes i can find, i was looking for the least joins possible. Better move fast as the crows are eating more eggs than i am and soon the shetland geese should start laying. Thanks, Rj

have u tried hanging an old sheet or towel over the pop holes?
i do this, an hens go in an out, but wild birds think its a trap!
