Duck respiratory infection

I have a 3 1/2 month old male muscovy duck on antibiotics since last Thursday (8/31) and he doesn't seem to be any better. His breathing is alot louder and he's very aggressive now which I don't know if it's bc he is sick or whatnot but it doesn't seem like the vets around my area know much about the breed or ducks and I just want to know what I should do to help him feel better quicker or what meds I should ask my vet for. I'm desperate. I just want him to feel better and be able to run around and swim with his female mate

Thank you very much I'm having him checked in the am. That makes alot of sense on why the meds weren't working. Is it contagious bc I have a female as well. I'm a new duck mom I've had every other bird you can own but ducks and I love these 2 so much I do not like seeing them in pain
