Butchering Pigs

Just curious as to how much people are paying for their pigs to be butchered? Also what all they get out of this exactly in terms of even sausages made in lb/kg's and cuts?

Is the slaughter fee included in that too?

Also roughly the size they are killing them at too I'd be keen to hear as well.

Well I get my pigs killed at a target 100kg live weight, kills out around 65kg!! Fully butchered, sausages rashers burgers and all the cuts @150 on average!! Having the right breed of pig is vital..

Cheers for that. Interesting to know just the charges as I am actually a trained butcher, normally busy enough with the shop not to bother with this but had done a few. Charged a heck lot less so will know for next time, though I wasnt paying the slaughter fee.

Considering doing the whole rearing and selling direct thing
