Mixing own duck feed?

I have just got my first batch of ducklings, and while I am feeding them factory food, I was wondering if it might be worth to mix up your own food, once they don't need a high protein diet.

Anywone with good advice and possible recipe for mixing up you own duck feed.

Is it worth the effort, from a monetary perspective?
Do you need to supplement with additional vitamins?

All advice is appreciated!

I wouldn't bother mixing your own food, chick crumb is the best thing to feed them as it has all the vitamins they need and ensures they grow both strongly and quickly

Make sure to switch them off the chick crumb when their flight feathers start to grow to avoid Angel wing.:)
