Q for the cat people

Hi guys, there is a farmer about 1 km up the road who has roughly 25/30 cats they can not be touched but yet they will not run and hide if they see anyone,he asked me if I wanted any so the plan is that I will trap 3 of them, neuter them and then release them in the yard with my other 2 cats, how will I keep them in the yard without them running away?thanks

The cat people must be on holidays thommy................
i,d say when you get them back after neutering keep them in a shed, garage or the like and feed them there twice a day, at least thats how a friend of mine managed his when he got them, good luck.

Would agree with nama man, however cats are independent creatures will do whatever they want, but if you feed them at same time and same place they usually stay around area, i have nine here, dont see them for most of the day, except when they bring back rats or mice, and when feeding time, i lock them up at nite in a shed, so that usually keeps them happy

Use some of their normal food, might take a day for them to get use to it, if you donot feed them for a day b4 hand, they will go in quicker

Your existing cats will not take nicely to new cats on their territory, if he is only 1km up the road already id wonder why they haven't wondered already to yours, especially if he isnt feeding them all

I'm no expert on cats but a man down the pub told me you can feed them sausages that have been injected with antifreeze apparently it makes them real easy to catch, might be worth a try if all else fails.

Oh I almost forgot to say make sure all the cats eat the sausages the cheap nasty ones from Tesco work fine, that way you can pic the ones you want.:)
