Best Automatic Coop Door Opener / Closer?

Dia duit, gach duine.

Looking for recommendations / links to what you believe to be the best option on an automatic coop door opener / closer. My coop is currently equipped with a hinged door (as opposed to a sliding door), so something that would be able to use the current setup would be preferred. However, I'm not completely opposed to retrofitting a sliding door if need be.

Go raibh maith agat!

They are all over priced in my opinion and not worth it. http://www.perthshirepoultry.co.uk/ourshop/prod_678363-VSBb-...

Here's one I find great but is restricted to the number of identifiable animals:

They may be overpriced, Jimbo, but something of decent quality and reliability is absolutely essential for when we're not going to be around to open and close the coop manually.

i have a dog trained to guard the hens. When i let them out he guards them until i close the door only then does he leave them.Would be a brave fox or mink to enter the yard with him about.I have no need for the auto door but im sure if you can afford one it can be useful.

Try hensafe.net Ryan. Quite expensive I know but the best one I've seen after a lot of research. Often hear people saying they're overpriced but how much would it cost to replace your stock if you lost them all in one night. People can be very vocal on forums about the right kind of care for poultry....& rightly so, but it seems to me they're often the ones who say they don't want to spend the money for the right set up. If its your hobby & u care about them...you do what it takes.

Jimbo...our dogs are inside most of the time as I don't really see the point of having dogs that never come inside, so that's not applicable to me. Thanks for the sound advice, ChickenDigs.

I am already tired to going out in the rain (Portland OR) in AM/PM to open door. Didn't plan well and have to open from inside coop. So, any recommendations on the best (most reliable) auto door?
I am not sure if a solar powered one would work here in grey Portland - ???
Thanks a bunch!
